Solar Panels for Outdoor Swimming Pool

With this project, the local tourism board of this Tyrolean village has been able to show that enhancing the attractiveness of a region as a tourist destination through the construction of new recreational facilities does not necessarily result in a deterioration of its ecological balance. Located at a relatively high altitude, the swimming pool needs to be heated for climatic reasons. The use of solar energy is an ecologically safe and completely emission-free alterative to a conventional heating system fired with fuel oil. 26 tonnes of CO₂ emissions are saved annually through the installation of a 160 m² collector surface.
