Thermal Insulation for a Hotel

This family-run hotel in Altenmarkt im Pongau had already taken a first step towards increasing its energy efficiency and improving the indoor climate by means of a controlled ventilation system. Through the installation of a heat exchanger for waste heat recovery, heat losses were significantly reduced and the consumption of heating energy, which totalled about 15,000 litres of fuel oil per year prior to the retrofitting measures, dropped by about 60%, which in turn represents 25 tonnes of CO₂ emissions saved per year.
