Make climate protection part of your everyday life and reduce your personal carbon footprint! There are many ways to do so: you can save CO2 emissions by reducing your energy consumption at home, or you can cycle or walk to work instead of using your car. However, it goes without saying that not all CO2 emissions can be avoided in everyday life.
Climate Austria now offers you a possibility of offsetting non-avoidable CO2 emissions by other means. Using the Climate Austria C02 Calculator you can calculate the CO2 emissions generated by your energy consumption for electricity, hot water, heating and transport and make a voluntary contribution to CO2 compensation. Your contribution is used to support Austrian and international climate protection projects and thus helps to reduce CO2 emissions by the corresponding amount. This procedure is called CO2 compensation.
